Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who has passed any Undergraduate degree examination with 50 % aggregate marks and 50% of marks in the cognate subject (Chemistry) from any recognised University in India or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU are eligible to apply. Applicants who are in the final year of their studies should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far and 50% of marks in the cognate subject. Admission Guidelines

Admission procedure includes Skill Assessment: The skill assessment will consist of a test on written skills, communication skills and logical reasoning and Personal interview: Assessment of past performance in X, XII and Degree ( if result awaited, marks available currently) during the Personal Interview. The selection process results will be declared within 72 hours after the selection process session is complete or announced by the university. The selected candidates must process admission

Course Details

The two-year (four semesters) Masters Programme in Chemistry (specializations in Organic and Analytic Chemistry) aims at providing a comprehensive study of various branches of chemistry to develop a critical and analytical approach to all major areas of the subject. The various papers in the first two semesters are presented in such a way as to give the students a harmonious view of the subject followed by the specialization papers of organic chemistry/analytical chemistry along with an industrial/institutional project in the last two semesters. Equal importance is given to both theory and practicals.The teaching methodology includes lecture, demonstration, seminars, internships, projects and presentations. The Course Objectives are to prepare the students to become teachers of chemistry in centers of higher education and equip the students to perform functions that demand higher competence in national/international organizations. The course train the students in scientific research and to help the students find meaning in life by broadening their field of vision.
