Course Details

The Biotechnology department was started in the academic year 2006 with B.E degree in Biotechnology, with 30 students of input. In the year 2011, the department was recognized as a Research centre by VTU for the candidates who want to pursue their doctor degree. Biotechnology department also offers one-year P.G Diploma in Rational Drug Design and Bioinformatics. Department conduct many training programs for the students to make them motivated, competent engineers and scientists. The department has dynamic, experienced and well-qualified faculty members from different backgrounds of Biotechnology domain. Department provides the state-of-art facility in Bioinformatics, Nano biotechnology, and Fermentation Technology. The Department is committed to build professionals by offering good academics in Biotechnology areas like animal-, plant-, environmental-, microbial-, nano- biotechnology and computational biology, entertaining innovation, and research, make the department as a centre of excellence and to train the students for life-long learning, higher study, and societal responsibility.
