Eligibility Criteria

II-Year Pre-University or XII Std. or equivalent exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics. Not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.

Admission Guidelines

Generally, admission is done on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam (CET/COMED-K) for all the B.E./B.Arch. courses.

Course Details

SIT offers B.E./B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 60 students. This course was started in 2011 with a vision of imparting technical education through hands-on practical exposure, innovation and teamwork. This department provides labs in: Analog Electronics, Logic Design, Microcontroller, HDL, DSP, Analog and LIC, Microprocessor, Advanced Communication, VLSI, and Power Electronics. Sophisticated software packages like Xilinx, Keil, and MATLAB along with other hardware and software specified by VTU. With industrial and university collaborations, Center of Excellence is created in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
