Eligibility Criteria

Admission shall be open to the candidates who have passed prescribed qualifying examination with not less than 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters/years of degree examination and the should have qualified in GATE.

Admission is on the basis of rank obtained in GATE and AIT admits students as per prevailing rules and regulations of VTU.

Course Details

M. Tech/ME Communication Systems was established in 1995. This course has an intake of 18 seats. In this interesting postgraduate degree, students will get complete knowledge on digital communication and networking fundamentals. This course delivers the knowledge on basics of information theory, coding, modulation, sampling and quantization, system performance in the presence of noise and signal detection. This postgraduate program has designed to cover the concepts like equipment, voice communication devices and technologies, multimedia and data information. After graduation, career opportunities are with rail communication systems, academic institutions, DRDO, VSSC, Atomic Energy Commission of India, Central Electronics Ltd, and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.
