Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have completed Pre-University Course or Senior Secondary School course (‘+2’) or equivalent such as (11+1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognised University of India or outside or from Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognised by the Union or by the State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognised by the government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course, may apply for and be admitted into the course.

The candidates who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate or First Degree Certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for admission to the course.

Minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination shall not be below 45% (44.5% and above shall be treated as 45%) of total marks in case of general category applicants and 40% (39.5% and above shall be treated as 40%) of total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.

Maximum age for seeking admission is limited to twenty years in case of general category of applicants and to twenty two years in the case of applicants from SC, ST and other backward communities as on 1 st June.

Admission Guidelines

The admission to Ramaiah College of Law is merit based which has enabled us in achieving excellence in legal education. An Admission Process Review Committee (APRC) comprising of the Principal, three senior faculty members and an administrative office in-charge shall supervise and approve the admission through a selection process. - The candidate belonging to the General Category with minimum 60% marks and above (in case of SC/ST 40%) at the 10+2 level, will be eligible for the selection process provided in Annexure 1. - The candidates with CLAT scores shall be given preference. Candidate having eligibility of 50% of CLAT score (100/200) will appear for the personal interview before the APRC

In case of non-CLAT candidates and students obtaining less than 50% in CLAT score are required to take a RCL Entrance Test in CLAT format and a personal interview with the Admission Process Review Committee. Test and personal interview will be held in batches or individually as and when students approach.

B.A.L.L.B. is a course which integrates Arts with Law. It covers subjects related to Arts field such as Economics, History, Sociology and Political Science etc. alongside specialized fields of law like Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Patent Law, Administrative Law, Tax Law, International Law and Labor Law.
