Eligibility Criteria

Admission shall be open to the candidates who have passed in Bachelor of Science with not less than 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters/years of degree examination.

Course Details

MSc in Nano Science and Technology is an UGC-funded 2-year postgraduate fulltime programme offered at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. This course was started in 2010. With well-established synthesis and character instruments, the department provides the quality education to the graduates to fine tune them to fit global standards in nano technology. The department has subscription to Nano Digest and Nano Insight journals. Some of the focused areas of the research activities in the department are on: Fabrication and characterization of nanostructure materials, thin films deposition and characterization, thin film-based sensors, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanospheres, solar cells, food quality sensors.
