Malnad College of Engineering Hassan popularly known as MCE established in the year 1960, as a joint venture of Government of India, Karnataka governmentand the Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan.The college has 41 acres of beautiful campus with all modern amenities with a vision to impart quality and value based education. The main aim of the institution is to create a conducive environment for quality technical education with innovation, industry focus and fulfill social obligations.

MCE has spacious library with good collection of books and journals. The hostel facility for boys with all necessary amenities required for comfortable stay. The Placement & Training center in the college trains and assists the students to get placed in reputed companies.

MCE offers B.E courses and M.Tech programmes and recognized for conducting TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) sponsored by the World Bank.MCE is an autonomous institution under VTU and recognized by AICTE and UGC.TheCollege has earned “ISTE Award” as one of the Best Engineering Colleges in the Country, in the year 2007.
