Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must haveMasters in a relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA marks in any of the Universities recognized by the state or central legislature in India. For SC/ST candidates there is a relaxation of 5% in required aggregate marks.

Course Details

The Ph.D. degree in Sanskrit is the study of ancient language “Sanskrit” and its different historical background. This course provides the right exposure to the various relationships and the detailed study of the areas of the ancient Sanskrit. The course also covers the detailed study of compositions of individual historical age and the events that led origin of such a huge literary work. The time span of this course is a period of four to five years. Though the exact duration of the Ph.D. program is difficult to mention as it depends upon the manner through which the thesis is developing and along with its depth.
