Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must haveMasters in a relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA marks in any of the Universities recognized by the state or central legislature in India. For SC/ST candidates there is a relaxation of 5% in required aggregate marks.

The main aim of the Physics Ph.D. program is to train the students to fit into the fields like academics, industry, and government. Graduates of this program will have the ability to carry out innovative and independent scientific research in astronomy and physics. Our faculty members of this department are well-known persons in their field, dynamic, highly experienced in research activities, and also they are student-oriented. Students of this program will have the opportunities to undertake many research activities in many cutting-edge fields in applied astrophysics, atmospheric, physics, atomic physics and ionospheric physics, elementary particle physics, nonlinear dynamics, biological physics, materials science, condensed matter physics, planetary science, nuclear physics, and space weather & plasma astrophysics.
