Eligibility Criteria

A 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects. English as one of the languages. Minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC, only from Karnataka state) from a recognized board. Valid rank in KCET/COMED-K/JEE Mains.

Course Details

Mechanical Engineering has 60 intake seats. Besides focusing on academics, the department also arranges industrial visits, seminars and workshops on a regular basis. BGMIT's mechanical department has overwhelming 20 members of teaching and non-teaching staff who are polite and friendly with the students to help them learn all the required basics. In this course, students will learn the basic workshop, computer-aided engineering drawing, metallographic and material testing, mechanical measurements and metrology, machine shop, foundry and forging thoroughly in the well established labs.
