Eligibility Criteria

A 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects. English as one of the languages. Minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC only from Karnataka state) from a recognized board. Valid rank in KCET/COMED-K/JEE Mains.

Course Details

BKIT offers B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering with 120 intake students. This department was established in 1982. Staff members of this department are highly motivated and research oriented. Many of the staff attended national seminars and workshops, and presented around 80 papers. The Civil Engineering department has most advanced features in the laboratories and library, some of them to include: SCADDS software and Auto CAD Lab, Material Testing Lab with 60-ton capacity, PC based Universal Testing Machine, well-equipped Surveying Lab with advanced instrumentation like Total Station Pentax 315, Plate Load Test in the Geotechnical Engineering along with all the regular equipments like Electrical resistivity meter CRM 500, latest instruments for water testing in Environmental Engineering Lab, Water Resources Management Lab sponsored by MODROB in 1998, and many advanced and well-equipped laboratories. The department has a separate library with around 520 textbooks and volumes along with national and internal journals and magazines.
