Course Details
- Mtechtransportation engineering (transport engineering) is applied combination of technology and scientific principles in planning, functional design, operation and management of facilities in any mode of transportation and to safeguard and environmental movement of people and goods. Transport Engineering is the specialization under civil engineering. This course teaches the area of technical education, which is most important to the infrastructure. Transportation Engineer must predict the future traffic flows, geometric alignment and design, design of highway intersections/interchanges,structural design of pavement thickness, highway pavement materials and design, and pavement maintenance. This course is affiliated under VTU and approved by AICTE This course is further divided in the 4 semesters, 2 per an academic year
