- BKIT offers M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering with 18 intake seats. This unique PG course was started in 2011. Along with the regular equipments, the geotechnical engineering also has Plate Load Test. Electrical resistivity meter CRM 500 equipped in the full-fledged engineering geology lab that is used to locate bore well points. The geotechnical engineering is very important and integral part of Civil Engineering department, is mainly concerned with engineering behaviour of the earth materials. By using soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical engineers investigate subsurface conditions and materials. This science deals with soil and rock mechanics in military, mining, petroleum, and also involved in other engineering departments.
